Multi-Kernel Operating System
SKY is an operating system with one goal in mind: to make video production and broadcasting easier and reliable than ever.
Built around Ubuntu 18.04 20.04 22.04 with some deep kernel and APIS modifications to support Linux, Windows and macOS programs* natively.
The OS main focus is to boot up and be self sufficient in the task that was previously been configured and programmed.

Video Capabilities
SKY has many video solutions covered for you, we integrate custom graphics drivers to allow you to reach that peaky resolution you need and a way to “save” your displays configuration even if you restart.
Multi Kernel
SKY is built arround linux kernel 5.15.91 but with some core implementations to allow you to fully and natively run Windows executables and some macOS command line software. We dont emulate, we run it!
NDI Transport
NDI Support out of the box, establish real time connections between two computers or more with a lossless and low latency link, here the sky is literally the limit. +10GBps Recommended
Secure Environment
We constantly but quietly monitor and backup system configurations in order to protect from power breaks or network errors retaining their previous knowing working state.
Gala
AI Assistant
Meet Gala, your personal assistant and the best co-worker you can ask simply say “Ok, Gala” and talk to her, she will pop up and help you to make your work easier.
Beautiful & Responsive
SKY uses Pantheon Desktop Shell, a really responsive and elegant desktop interface tweaked a little to make it even more user friendly for non-linux users.
Standalone Decoder
Built in mode that allow the user to turn any PC into an NDI video decoder/encoder with multiple video outputs and inputs*. Access from IP address.
Development
SKY is mostly open source software but sadly to achieve most of the things listed above we use private software and thus we are not allow to go public or put up the code. We are working to make the os as open source as possible but is a difficult and time consuming task.
Why?
The OS was born in 2018 when we had a project that demanded a highly reliable and unbreakable operative system since then it has grown into one of the biggest projects of my life.
The system runs 24/7 processing video data and aiding various video production and broadcasting environments.
SKY is non profit, the OS uses private software to this day so I can not charge for that. SKY is a proof of concept, a constant development to see how far Video and Optimization can go.
The system is named after one of the most important woman of my life, she really saved me and pull me through the worst moments. If I hadn’t met her today my life would be totally different but not in a good way. She made me the man that I am today in almost every aspect of my life and I will be forever in her debt so here is my little homage to her.
